Aren Hansen

Aren Hansen is a CSA-winning DGC picture editor with over 20 years of experience. Originally from Vancouver and a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre, he has helped shape some of the most memorable shows on television, from the laugh-out-loud network comedies of CBC's Kim’s Convenience and Fox’s Animal Control, to the gripping drama of Netflix's Ginny & Georgia. His work showcases an ability to dive into any genre, whether it's the surreal humor of Amazon's The Kids In the Hall or the high-stakes world of AMC's Orphan Black: Echoes. Aren recently completed work on the new Netflix series Bet, which has been picked up for a second season. When Aren’s not editing, you’ll find him shooting hoops with his kid or unwinding on the deck with a graphic novel.
